India set a 206-run target for Australia to win the important clash of the Super Eights in the T20 World Cup 2024 in Saint Lucia.
Australia won the toss and elected to bowl first against mighty Indians. Indian skipper Rohit Sharma led from the front and scored 92 runs. Suryakumar Yadav made 31 runs.
Australia must have to win this match to remain in contention for a semis berth. In this scenario, they will have to improve their net run rate because India is way ahead of them.
However, their run rate is better than Afghanistan. But, if Afghans hand down a huge defeat to Bangladesh, they will pose a threat to kangaroos.
In case of a defeat for Australia and Afghanistan (against Bangladesh), net run rate will be a decider.
