Senator Faisal Vawda has requested an unconditional apology from the Supreme Court (SC) in contempt of court case.
Former federal minister Faisal Vawda has also submitted a response to a show-cause notice issued to him in a contempt of court case in SC.
In his response, Faisal Vawda requested an unconditional apology from SC and left himself at the mercy of SC.
Faisal Vawda has requested to end proceedings against him in the court contempt case.
He also apologised for any committed disgrace to the judiciary in his press conference as he asserted the motive behind the press conference was not to commit any contempt against the court.
At a press conference, Vawda stated that the high court judges must either provide evidence to support their accusations (alleged interference of some elements in judicial affairs) or refrain from vilifying state institutions.
The senator raised questions about assertions made by Islamabad High Court judge Babar Sattar, adding, “Merely making accusations isn’t enough; evidence must be presented in court.”
The senator assured that he would stand by the judges if evidence is presented, underlining the importance of exposing those meddling in judicial matters.
