Election Commission of Pakistan conforms to apex court verdict on allocating reserved seats to PTI

The Election Commission of Pakistan On Friday decided to act upon Supreme Court decision regarding reserved seats for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

The decision was taken during a meeting held for the second succesive day as Thursday’s huddle remained inconclusive.

Today’s meeting was again presided over by Chief Election Commissioner Sikandar Sultan Raja in which “all aspects” of the Supreme Court verdicts were discussed.

The ECP chief advised its legal team to take into account to act on the apex court’s decision.

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has convened a meeting on Thursday (today) following the Supreme Court decision on reserved seats.

According to sources, the chief election commissioner will preside over hte meeting here at 11 am.

The legal wing of ECP will brief the participants on the decision on reserved seats. The ECP will deliberate the situation in the aftermath of apex court’s verdict announced last week.
