Lahore, July 28: Capital City Police Officer Bilal Siddique Kamyana presided over an important meeting at his office. The meeting reviewed progress on the ” Key Performance Indicators” (KPIs) related to the performance of divisional officers. During the briefing, it was informed that the 15 Call Data issued by the Punjab Safe Cities Authority indicates a significant reduction in crime rates in the provincial capital.
The CCPO Lahore emphasized that the police force must ensure timely response and actions upon receiving calls through the 15 service. He urged that in light of the Punjab government’s KPIs, every department, officer and official should align their performance with the required targets and adopt modern technology to move away from the traditional work practices.
The CCPO Lahore also instructed supervisory officers to enhance their command and regularly visit field offices to assess the performance of subordinate staff. He stressed the need for officers to serve the public with dedication and enthusiasm. Bilal Siddique Kamyana issued directives to expedite intelligence-based search operations against the criminals, increase the pace of crackdowns on illegal weapons and drugs and ensure swift arrest of proclaimed offenders.
Additionally, he advised supervisory officers to personally visit crime scenes in heinous cases, set up checkpoints in crime-prone areas, and maintain strict surveillance on criminals. He also called for effective measures to address incidents of aerial firing.
The CCPO emphasized the prompt registration of cases and investigations based on merit, crimes against women by reaffirming that providing justice to victims is his top priority. He reiterated that working in the police is not merely a job but a lifestyle focused on the public service.
