The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR ) Chairman Amjad Zubair Tiwana has requested early retirement from his office.
According to sources, Amjad Zubair has also submitted two weeks’ notice for leaving his charge.
The FBR chairman has also written a letter to the PM office to tender his charge.
According to sources, the FBR chairman was due to retire in February 2025, however, he has sought early retirement.
He has informed the government about his retirement plans in an official written letter.
He has mentioned that he wanted to leave his charge in the FBR office and was interested in early retirement.
However, he didn’t disclose the reasons of early retirement.
He also talked about his early retirement plans in the meeting with higher rank government officials.
