CORRUPTION, MISCONDUCT AND MISTREATMENT OF CITIZENS WILL NOT BE TOLERATED, STRICT ACTION WILL BE TAKEN AGAINST THOSE INVOLVED IN CORRUPTION :CCPO
Lahore, August 7: Capital City Police Officer Bilal Siddique Kamyana presided over a meeting to review performance of Model Town and Cantt Divisions. Detailed assessment of the performance of both divisions were discussed during the meeting.
The CCPO emphasized that corruption, misconduct and mistreatment of citizens will not be tolerated and strict action will be taken against those involved in corruption. He stressed the importance of high-quality investigations in delivering justice to victims, asserting that injustice must not be meted out to the innocent nor should the guilty escape punishment.
CCPO Lahore instructed that complaints from ordinary citizens, especially women and children, should be addressed promptly. He also directed supervisory officers to regularly monitor the performance of subordinate staff. The CCPO called for the establishment of checkpoints in high-crime areas, particularly for motorcycle theft and snatching, and emphasized the need for coordinated operations.
He reiterated that resolving pending cases swiftly is crucial to providing timely justice to victims and reaffirmed that the protection of public safety remains the top priority. DIG (Investigation) Zeeshan Asghar, DIG (Operations) Faisal Kamran, SSP (Admin) Atif Nazir, SSP (Investigation) Anoosh Masood Chaudhry, SSP (Operations) Tassawar Iqbal, divisional SPs, ASPs, Circle Officers, SHOs and Investigation In-charges of the Model Town and Cantt Divisions attended the meeting.
