Lahore Police Implements Comprehensive Security Plan for New Year’s Eve, Zero Tolerance for Lawbreakers
Lahore, Dec 31 — In preparation for New Year’s Eve, Lahore Police have devised and implemented an elaborate security plan to ensure law and order, with a strict zero-tolerance policy towards lawbreaking activities such as aerial firing, hooliganism and one-wheeling.
CCPO Lahore Bilal Siddique Kamyana, emphasized that special police squads have been deployed across the city to maintain peace. He stated that checkpoints have been set up at key locations to prevent illegal activities.
To tackle issues such as one-wheeling and aerial firing, teams from the Dolphin Squad, PRU and Elite Force are patrolling various areas. The police have also targeted mechanics involved in altering motorcycles for one-wheeling, as well as those engaged in the illegal sale of drugs and liquor.
The CCPO urged citizens to respect the law and avoid indulging in any illegal or immoral activities. He warned that strict actions would be taken against anyone involved in one-wheeling, bike alterations or causing disturbances.
The police will deal with lawbreakers with an iron hand; he said and encouraged the public to report any incidents of one-wheeling, weapons display or aerial firing by calling the 15 emergency.
